North Bay Road

The Epitome of Miami Beach Living

Welcome to North Bay Road

Regarded by many as an extremely prestigious and exclusive address in Miami, North Bay Road has drawn comparisons to Park Avenue in New York City. With the largest waterfront single family homes in Miami Beach, residents of western-facing North Bay Road homes are treated to resplendent wide-water views of Biscayne Bay and the Downtown Miami skyline. In the winter months the sun sets directly behind the buildings, giving what Jeff Miller describes as a Monet-esque sunset.

Residents of most islands in Miami see other communities from their backyards, but those living on North Bay Road have only the aqua waters of Biscayne Bay to admire. This is one of many aspects that makes North Bay Road such a covetable address.

Illustrating its deep history, North Bay Road was the chosen home of Carl Fisher, the pioneer of Miami Beach. In 1927, Fisher had a 20,000 square foot home built on the street, which served as his permanent address for the rest of his life. His home included a three-story observation tower, which at the time was the tallest structure in Miami Beach.

North Bay Road is unofficially divided into lower and upper sections beginning at 41st Street, explains Jeff Miller. Lower North Bay Road has been very up-and-coming in the past few years because of all the development in new restaurants and shopping in nearby Sunset Harbor. Upper North Bay road is the estate section, where lot sizes and homes are generally a bit more spread out.

Jeff Miller’s favorite restaurant is Lucali, a famous Brooklyn-based Italian pizzeria. Jeff notes that the wait times could be a bit longer at dinner time, but it’s well worth the wait! It also helps to have known Dominic since childhood.

With white glove dining, famous nightlife, and pristine aqua beaches making up luxe neighborhood views all around, one can understand why North Bay Road is one of the most illustrious neighborhoods in Miami.
